Digital Apparel & Textile Studio

  • Co-Manage Digital Apparel and Textile and Studio (DATS) at Iowa State University
    • Digitally print, steam, and treat textiles for students using Mimaki TX2 1600 printer
    • Work with Wasatch and RIP software for the Mimaki TX2 1600 printer
    • Change print heads, dampers, and cables for the Mimaki TX2 1600 printer
    • Transition to new inks and Re-profile the color management system for the Mimaki TX2 1600
    • Laser cut textiles, acrylic, wood, paper, and other materials for students using the Trotec Speedy 400 Co2 laser cutter
    • Work with a Melco Amaya XTS Computerized Embroidery Machine and Maker Bot 3D Printer
    • Correct student files for printing or laser cutting
    • Create order forms, lab hours, and workflow process for DATS lab
    • Serve as a mentor and advisor for under graduate students
