A launderometer accelerated laundering machine, stainless steel lever lock canisters, 6mm statinless steel balls, crockmeter test cloth,  distilled water, sodium hypochlorite bleach, and powder detergent were used to conduct the test. 5 samples were tested for each fabric with different water, detergent, bleach, and steel ball combination. A total of 25 reactive samples and 25 pigment samples were laundered. The samples washed in the launderometer for 40± 2rpm for45 minutes. The samples were all then rinsed 3 times in a separate beaker using distilled water. All samples were then laid flat to air dry. A spectrophotometer was then used to read the red, blue, and green color of all 50 samples. The L*a*b* color and ΔE* was recorded for each color of each sample.
